Baths of Roca

The Spanish company Roca was founded in 1917 and since then it has been producing plumbing, which not only lasts a long time, but remains attractive throughout its entire life cycle. The rock cast-iron bath has the feature of keeping water warm for a long time. The Roca steel bath has a lighter weight. Roca bath reviews include evaluations of both standard and larger models. The company produces the same model with different size options.

Think carefully before buying a cast-iron bathtub Roca Continental
A comment
Acquired on December 27, 2017 in the plumbing supermarket “Water”, a cast-iron bathtub of the Roca company, name Roca Continental 170 * 70 (with legs).
Also in this plumbing hypermarket, Vodyanaya acquired a bath mixer, with a barrier in the kit.
When buying a bath, the sales assistant assured me that the bath is with a very good coating, the manufacturer gives a guarantee for covering the bath for 10 years.
With the bathtub, I was not provided with any additional documents, the guarantee was said to be on the check, there was not even any concern about the reliability of the enamel coating of the bathtub.
The bath was installed at the end of January, after operation (2 months), I noticed scuffing in the area of draining as from a knife box, cracks appeared around the bottom of the bath.
With a question about their origin and the decision to restore coverage under warranty, I contacted Vodianaya, and I was asked to write a claim to Roca.
What I received from Roca is a very strange answer:
Thank you for contacting our company.
Based on the sent photo materials, it was concluded that there is a mechanical damage to the product. In this case, unfortunately, this is not a warranty case. This defect is traces of the shower hose. In order to avoid traces of this nature, we advise you to purchase a chrome-plated shower hose.
Regards, Roca Service.
As a result, I paid 2 times more than the cost of a domestic-made cast-iron bathtub and in which enamel lasts for decades!
I am writing a review so that people know the truth and know that in our time the proverb does not work (Avaricious pays twice)!

The best baths at the Rock!
A comment
About 2 years ago there was a global repair in the apartment, in this regard, decided to replace the bath. We considered options only for cast-iron bathtubs, and in size we needed a bathtub of 160X70 cm. Russian manufacturers could not offer us anything fitting, therefore they went to the Spanish company Roca.

The model was chosen simple, without additional functions, handles and notches in the design, called Continental. This model has 2 drain holes (like almost all conventional bathtubs, drain-overflow). anti-slip coating is placed at the bottom of the bath, a very convenient idea, the child now bathes calmly and is not afraid that he will slip. The coating is made in the form of flowers and slightly grayish in color, which makes it seem that it is dirty.

There are no complaints whatsoever about the quality of enamel, everything has been done very solidly, no scratches and chips have appeared during the use!
pros
Enamel quality, good size.
Minuses
The anti-slip coating is a grayish tint, it creates the impression of dirt.
Term of use
more than three years

Roca bathtub - buy and use with pleasure
A comment
About two years ago, I decided to make a small bathroom repair. It was not planned to do anything large-scale. It was just necessary to change the obsolete plumbing to a new one. I was attracted to the inexpensive Roca steel tub. Fairly light model, workers easily brought into the apartment and also quickly installed. Complete with bathtub: legs and grounding, as well as a rubber valve.

Enamel is white, without sag. When I ran my palm along the inner surface, I was satisfied with the perfect smoothness of the coating. Since I am a thrifty person, I accordingly relate to everything that surrounds me. I do not use abrasive cleaners, but I think this is superfluous. I wash my bath with liquid products and then wipe it with a dry cloth. Maybe that's why my purchase after several years shines with its original whiteness and smoothness.
pros
Whiteness and gloss.
Minuses
Water cools quickly.

more than three years

Rosa Continental bathtub - justified classics
A comment
My whole family is more than conservative, so I decided to buy a proven cast iron, namely the Roca Continental cast iron bathtub. I’ll write a review without emotions - only in essence.

Bathroom sizes were designed to fit a standard model. So they bought an ordinary cast-iron bathtub with two holes: a drain, an overflow. The accessories metal is of high quality - rust does not appear on the enamel. For five years of use, the coating was subjected to mechanical stress (the fall of various objects leaves no residue) and chemical "tests". I would advise you to put an additional filter to clean water from impurities. When the plaque was removed, the anti-slip coating became noticeable and it seems that the bathtub is dirty. Otherwise, there are no complaints about enamel.
pros
High-quality enamel, anti-slip coating.
Minuses
Low legs.
Term of use
more than five years
