Philips air humidifiers - user reviews and recommendations

Philips HU4803 - expensive.
A comment
In each room of the apartment there are two batteries, so in winter the air becomes dry. This winter, parents decided to buy a humidifier, in order to get rid of dryness, but unfortunately, it did not work out exactly what we expected.

Their choice fell on the Philips HU4803 humidifier, the device is peculiar and in my opinion, the money only spent in vain on it. In the management of course there is nothing complicated, poured water, plugged into the outlet and in front. But it works just unrealistically noisy, it is impossible to fall asleep under it, it constantly rumbles.
The main problem is the paper filter, which now and then becomes dirty and turns from whitish to red. Buying filters every time became problematic, they are not cheap, and with such a rate of pollution you can simply go broke. Spending on filters will quietly surpass the cost of the filter itself after a year of use.
pros
Humidifies the air.
Minuses
The filter gets dirty quickly.
Term of use
more than three years

Philips HU4802 / 01 - can not cope with the heating turned on.
A comment
Humidifier from the manufacturer Philips HU4802 / 01, acquired about a year ago. I opted for this model for several reasons. The first thing I liked about him was the simplicity of the work, there is nothing intricate. At the bottom there is a tank, in it you need to fill in the water in which there is a filter. Then the fan starts to move and thanks to this, the water begins to evaporate through the filter, leaving all the dust in it

I also like the fact that you can adjust the humidity level from 40 to 60%. There is a timer, which in truth I don’t use at all. But with all this, the humidifier works very weakly during the heating season. He is not able to catch humidity even up to 40% in 12 sq.m. room, which then says about large areas.
pros
Simple, no white coating on furniture, moisturizing the mucous membranes.
Minuses
Does not catch up with the necessary humidity. The filter clogs up quickly, it makes me unusable every 2.5-3 months.
Term of use
more than one year

Philips Humidifier HU4801 / 01
A comment
Having read various articles about how an air humidifier is absolutely necessary for a home, I decided to purchase it for my family as well. A huge variety of humidifiers was presented in the store, but I decided to buy the Philips HU4801 / 01 brands, as I trust this brand and the price was pleasant.

The humidifier is working properly, for all the time I have not had any problems with it. Most of all I was afraid that a whitish coating would form on the furniture, but fortunately this problem does not arise with our comrade.

The apparatus works according to the simplest principle - using the capillary effect, water saturates the paper filter and thereby creates the largest area for evaporation. In this case, all the dirt remains directly in the tank.

The only nuisance is the cost of the filter, it is very expensive, and you need to change it every three months.
pros
price, no plaque on furniture
Minuses
low efficiency, high price of filters
Term of use
more than three years
