Shelter insulation

The basis for the production technology of Shelter insulation is the idea of creating a material that generally poses absolutely no danger in use. In the production of the material, a method of using environmentally neutral polyester fibers was used. They are fastened together, with the help of hot air, without using chemical elements and substances harmful and dangerous to human health.

Shelter insulation

In developing Shelter insulation, for the first time, world practice has used the stable parameters of 4-D technology. This implies the preservation of all geometric parameters of Shelter insulation mats in predetermined sizes determined by the set goals for its use.

The parameters of stability, elasticity and strength of the material allow it to be used in thermal insulation in the most difficult places where the use of other means of thermal insulation is impossible.

These features make the Shelter insulation indispensable in arranging insulation on buildings and structures, for which the project provides for special requirements for observing the thermal regime. The insulation manufactured by TM Shelter is completely environmentally friendly, which allows its use in civil engineering.

The disadvantages of the product is the need to store it only in dry places and not allow water to get on it. You can find practical tips and reviews on the use of Shelter insulation below.

Maxforte Ecoacoustic
A comment
I bought Maxforte Ecoacoustic plates for sound insulation. There was an experiment with mineral wool, which flew in all directions, was terribly dusty and was saturated with traces of phenol.

Ecoacoustic used under a stretch ceiling to exclude the effect of the drum.

Working with the material is just a fairy tale, there is no trace of dust, dirt.
The color of the plates is white, it is clear that the raw materials are homogeneous, without additives. There is no smell.
Worried about if the neighbors flood me, but the eco-acoustics are not afraid of moisture.
Mounting is very simple, on plastic dowels, the plates are not scratchy, you can work with your bare hands.

After mounting the canvas, the sound insulation is excellent!
pros
Not dusty, not afraid of moisture, not scratchy.

Shelter chose on the advice of a neighbor who was also insulated with shelter. The working team supported: no scratches, convenient to use. The main selection criterion: does not contain phenol in the composition, does not retain moisture in itself, does not rot, does not attract rodents.
pros
eco-friendly, non-combustible, easy to use

Heat and sound insulation
A comment
I decided to make soundproofing and heat insulation of the floor and ceiling in the apartment, I’ll immediately say I'm an allergic person and I can’t perceive mineral wool, basalt and glass wool because of dust and flowability. Therefore, I decided to purchase a material on a polyester basis, having studied the market, I came across the main two manufacturers that interest me: Shelter Acoustic and Maxfort EcoAcoustic. In general, I made my choice in the direction of Maxforte EcoAcoustic and this is why: a more uniform density of the material, without binder, the material is even and uniform, more chaotic fibers - this affects the quality of sound insulation and thermal insulation. The color is uniform white, does not have dark veins, in general a more presentable look! After installation, the result is as follows: sound insulation - the apartment has become noticeably quieter from the neighbors above, and the lower neighbors are now completely inaudible, complete silence, also from the floor it has become noticeably warmer. I would also like to note that in the material Maxfort EcoAcoustic there is no environment for the development of insects and rodents! Very easy installation, as the material does not crumble and does not prick! Overall very satisfied with the material!
pros
Do not prick! Do not pour in! Non toxic Not afraid of water! Does not burn! Excellent heat and sound insulation!
Minuses
Large packaging at 5.76 sqm

Shelter insulation - a good solution for a summer residence
A comment
We equip the cottage with our own hands. Last year, they decided to insulate the attic. Husband is allergic and asthmatic, does not tolerate dusty and pungent smelling materials. We were looking for a suitable insulation, as a result we took Shelter EcoStroy standard 50 mm.

The mats are resilient, quickly recover after sinking, do not absorb moisture, so the thermal insulation properties should not change over time. The main thing is that the material does not roll at all. In terms of laying, Shelter is an outlet for those who cannot work with min. cotton wool and similar heaters.

It worked perfectly, though it was hard to cut, tore by hand. He got up well, did not make extra supports, fastened with a stapler.
In operation: we initially had wind protection installed, so we didn’t notice much the blowout that they write about on the network, it’s not critical, you can sleep. We lived before the winter, now we have opened the season - everything is fine. The heat from the stove lingers in the attic, does not fly away, as before. In especially cold weather, we warm up with a fan heater.

The experience of use is small, but the result is felt - the temperature lasts a long time. For seasonal cottages, Shelter is a good solution.
pros
Do not pour in! For allergy sufferers - a godsend. Suitable for self-installation.
Minuses
The density is uneven (with the standard), so it can be blown.

Shelter approached me
A comment
We needed material for warming a small frame structure: such that it carries the main load - warming, and at the same time it does not stink, does not clink, and is as easy to install as possible. I would like longevity.

At the construction market, the seller suggested Shelter, praised him in every possible way, talked about environmental friendliness, safety for children and that this was a scarce material. He even opened the package to demonstrate this super remedy. Outwardly resembles a synthetic winterizer, with which jackets are often insulated, only more tightly. There is no chemical smell, in general, we decided to buy it.

Before starting the installation, stock up with scissors, and sharp, because cutting with a knife is not an option. I liked that when working there is no dust, everything is neat and clean. I wet a piece in the water - the water is just glass from it, no visible changes. I tried to set fire, as a result, Shelter was melted, but the flame did not catch fire, and this calms. You can crush it as you like, it does not change its shape. After warming the house, the difference is enormous: heat, even the heating in the house is not always turned on. If you need to insulate something - only Shelter.
pros
ease of installation, well retains heat, does not deform, is environmentally friendly.
Minuses
expensive.

Shelter for children's health
A comment
I heard for the first time about Shelter Eco insulation last spring and became interested. In our house (bought recently), even with the gas boiler turned on, it's cool. They started to turn on the heater: I have small children. I worry that they will get cold.

I read that Shelter insulation is like a synthetic winterizer, which is used for clothes. “Shelter” is the result of the bonding of polyester fibers with hot air. No glue and formaldehyde, phenol, etc.! Harmless to health!

"Shelter" will not ignite in case of fire, does not absorb moisture, odors. It does not deteriorate from fungal mold. According to the manufacturer, small rodents are also not afraid of Shelter insulation.

When working with him, do not wear a respirator. This polyester does not change shape and is used more than once.

In general, they decided to take it, because the husband wanted to fake the house a bit: to insulate the walls. True, he did not, but invited specialists.

I will not tell further. The heat is now at home, and the boiler does not need to be turned on very much.
pros
harmless, warm, can be used more than once.
Minuses
a little expensive.
