Reviews and opinions on Skil screwdrivers

Skill 1001: quality with attention.
A comment
They seemed weak batteries. It turned out that you can set the month by number. and year of release. The screwdriver turned out to be two years ago. Accordingly, see "fresh," because no one canceled the damage to the battery from long-term storage - and especially in an unsafe warehouse -. Everything is suitable for small work, especially 2 batteries. Not understood. charge time: instruction - 4 hours, sellers - 1 hour (?). The bits are really plasticine, but they brought together normal ones. Use the PZ bits, tenaciously taking a self-tapping screw, not PH, and many claims to the technique will be removed.
pros
Lack price and spare battery.
Minuses
It seems to me that manufacturers embellish the torque. A screw from 50 mm was driven into a bar on a new screwdriver only shortly after charging.
Term of use
more than three years

Skil 2006 AC screwdriver turned out to be short-lived
A comment
Last year, my wife and I bought an apartment and we had to completely furnish it with furniture and appliances. We decided to take a loan and immediately buy everything you need. We went to a large store for the equipment, where at that time the action was taking place: you buy goods with a total amount of more than 25,000, they give a certificate of 1,500 to buy in the store. They decided to spend it on a Skil 2006 AC screwdriver.

I don’t even know why I chose it, just looked at what was suitable for the price and decided to take it. Especially not read the characteristics.

I was able to evaluate the work of a screwdriver a few months later, my father asked me to help him block the roof in the country. As a result, I can say that without a screwdriver I would have had to work much longer, but what I did not like was the only one battery in the kit. I had to wait a long time until the battery was charged, and its charge is not enough for intensive work.
pros
Price, power.
Minuses
One battery, no soft pressing, not a long-lasting battery, the bits in the kit can be thrown right away
Term of use
more than three years

Skil 6222 - ready for continuous operation.
A comment
For a long time already I wanted to buy a network screwdriver for myself, but I could not find a suitable one until I saw a television advertisement about the Skil brand. I bought a model Skil 6222, this unit weighs 1.2 kg, it works smartly and without problems, just plugged the cord into the network and on. The cable is 6 meters long, enough to work without an extension cord. There is a special Velcro on the cable, with which you can fix it in assembled form. The cartridge makes it possible to drill up to 10 mm. The rotation speed ranges from 300 to 850 revolutions per minute.

Complete with a screwdriver were a set of bits (acceptable quality), a set of drills and a fabric case.

Of the minuses, I note - rubber pads on the handle, get very dirty from work and the cable in the insulation becomes rough already at + 10 temperature.
Well, in general, it works and I'm not complaining, probably this is what I was looking for.
pros
Work from a network, weight is small, powerful.
Minuses
Lining on the handle made of low-quality rubber
Term of use
more than three years

Skil 1001 AT - SCREWDRIVER FOR SOLID 4!
A comment
We urgently needed a screwdriver, every time I got it from someone to ask. Bought on the advice of a sales assistant, Skil 1001 AT screwdriver. As soon as it started working, I discovered a small “jamb” of the manufacturer, the battery in the case of the screwdriver was very poorly held. The reason for this "embarrassment" was the holding clamps that were poorly adjusted at the factory, I had to unwind the case myself and manually bend these clamps. After the manipulations, the battery is held in a "dead" grip.

Until I forgot, after the purchase, the bits coming in the kit. You can safely throw it out, as they are made of bad metal and “slip off” on the 2nd day of work. Native drills are of good quality, how much they already work, and they are still sharp!
pros
optimal price.
Minuses
bad bits are included.
Term of use
half a year

Review of the SKIL 2301 screwdriver: a model for short operations
A comment
Our family tries to do everything herself, without hired craftsmen. Especially often, the SKIL 2301 screwdriver, suitable for any job, comes to the rescue. What they just did to him: they assembled furniture, built a country cottage, blocked the roof for themselves and their friends. With drops, bumps (the pen sits on superglue). Two years of immaculate use!

We bought a shurik when it was a little tough with money, we don’t change it. Although, it happened, they scared him terribly. At first, the battery behavior was angry: slow charging, instant discharge. But then they bought spare batteries, and later they asked my friend to replace them internally and coped with the problem. Somewhere in a couple of months a button flew out. Renovated under warranty.
pros
reasonable design, compactness, budget, functionality
Minuses
frail battery, lack of spare batteries included, weak button
Term of use
more than three years
