Special technologies for processing the top layer of parquet boards

Unique heat treatment technology - allows you to give the product an amber-golden hue. At the same time, wood acquires special strength and is well resistant to abrasion and scratches. Such a parquet board can be laid on a warm floor without fear of deformation.

Staining technology - allows you to get unique tones, while staining does not distort the texture of wood, but adds personality to it.

Stonewashed - This is a special processing technique in which the wood is treated with stiff brushes and then coated with oil. This technique allows you to emphasize the wood fibers and make a unique texture.

Brushed - This technology is used to give the surface of wood an aged look, a shabby tree.

Finish coat

The finish coating is applied in 5 layers using a special technology. In the latest collections, preference is given to matte and silky varnishes of different colors - Silky, Arctic. There is a separate line of parquet board, for the decoration of which only natural oil is used.

Locking system Profiloc 5G

The designers of the concern have developed an original glueless fastening system - Profiloc 5G. It allows you to lay floors from a parquet board quickly and easily. This installation system is suitable for both the floating installation method and for attaching to glue. The Profiloc 5G system allows you to lay a parquet board over a large area, without the use of expansion joints. You can easily cope with this task yourself and without special tools, if you carefully read the instructions.

Profiloc 5G

Locking system Profiloc 2G

The traditional castle system allows you to quickly lay parquet boards glueless way.

Quality and durability

The raw materials used in the manufacture of Karelia floorboards are subject to rigorous technical and visual inspection. Only wood that meets stringent requirements is allowed for processing.

Not only moisture level and dimensions of the workpiece are important, but also its impeccable appearance. For the upper layer, valuable species of exotic trees and deciduous species growing in the ecologically clean forests of Finland are taken. Oak, birch and ash wood are processed in such a way as to preserve the natural beauty and emphasize the texture of the tree. Strength and durability of the coating is achieved by layer-by-layer application of matte or silky varnish or natural oil.

Talented artists are working on creating new collections. The sophisticated Karelia-Upofloor flooring design has been awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award and has been praised by consumers.

Bad quality Karelia
A comment
We bought a Karelia Vanilla Matt three-lane board, a week of operation was enough to understand all the disadvantages of this board.Extremely low resistance to damage, any movement of furniture, objects leads to deep scratches. Dropping even light objects on the floor leads to dents and chips. I do not recommend a parquet board, at least, of this producer.

Karelia board purchased in 2012 single-lane ... oak and merbau ...

lies on a 2 mm plug

Merbau - in the living room 30 sq m with partial access to the balcony in the heating zone with warm fields ...
satisfied with all 100 ... my floors with the addition of chemicals for parquet ... in the winter the humidifier works in the apartment - there are no discrepancies in cracks and something else ...
oak - ordinary - 100 sqm .. unlike merbau somewhere on 3 sq there is a bend of the edges up (I suspect from excessive enthusiasm for mopping (in the nursery) ....

I’m building a cottage right now - I’ll definitely take Karelia

Karelia is an unreasonably expensive parquet.
A comment
In May 2013, Karelia acquired a parquet of chocolate oak, single-lane. We got such a board for 2500 rubles per 1 m2. We were laid by specialists in the same month. We did not hear any negative feedback from them, at that time everything was fine.

But when the heating season began, the batteries were turned on, then just a nightmare began. The parquet board began to crack throughout the structure of the tree, right in the middle, this happened with almost every plank. They wrote a complaint, replied that it was necessary to maintain the humidity in the apartment at less than 40%, but in reality this could not be achieved in a city apartment during the winter heating season. In order to at least somehow prevent the drying process, we purchased a humidifier for each room.

Yes, and I didn’t like the strength of the coating, you can evaluate it by 3. Parquet does not leave a dent from falling objects (many times they dropped something on it), but when they began to hang the curtains and the husband got on the stepladder, although before it was on the floor a thin blanket was laid, the dents remained, not very deep, but still a fact on the face.
pros
Appearance, there were no problems with styling.
Minuses
Boards dry out during the heating season, parquet leaves dents on itself, the price for such quality is too high.

Karelia Parquet Board - I respect Finnish quality!
A comment
I chose parquet for a very long time and meticulously. Fortunately, there are a lot of construction shops and hypermarkets in my city for this. As a result, I bought Karelia parquet board - on the recommendation of a friend working in the construction industry. Finnish board is quality and practicality, as well as durability. But wait and see.

A friend said the main thing - it’s easy to stack and will help to buy cheaper at a discount. A very big plus of Karelia is a huge selection of colors! The catalog is simply full of different colors and shades, I have never seen such a choice anywhere else. It was very simple to choose the home to your taste and style.

After the purchase, I also found out that such parquet was laid in my office and that he was already 7 years old, this news made me even more pleased. The floor in the office is remarkably preserved despite the running of the girls in high heels.
The locks on this board are strong, the coating is stable - somewhere around 5 layers. Stacked with another builder and it was very simple, plus budget savings.

Karelia is no longer a quality product.
A comment
In December last year, I bought Karelia parquet, the color I chose was natural oak. Acquired from an authorized dealer. What immediately confused me - during the laying, a terribly unpleasant smell emanated from the boards, which did not disappear even at the end of the work. As a result, I could not bear this stink and after 1 month I filed a complaint with the seller. I changed the boards, to another party.

After 3 months of operation of the new parquet, I noticed a trend, it’s worth only wetting the parquet a little, as this unpleasant odor returns, I don’t know what chemicals it was filled with, horror. True, it is not so strong and quickly erodes, unlike the previous parquet.

If this incident is not taken into account, then the board behaves quite normally, it does not warp, cracks did not appear, and outwardly it looks very beautiful, if not for this smell.

I do not advise, do not repeat my mistakes.
pros
Appearance, styling was no problem.
Minuses
It is intolerable to give such money and feel miserable in your own home. This parquet has a terrible stink.
