We bought it back in the 90th year, the OM220 was still driven, due to problems with the ignition, the lifan170f was installed, but like on the OM220, with a reverse rotation reducer (4,500 rubles). Alterations were reduced only to spacers under the engine.

As I understand it, new walk-behind blocks come without gears on the engine, which is very bad, the speed is big and the torque is small.

You’ll stop my horse-radish now, plowing with weighting agents on steel wheels (40 kg.), So that 30 kilograms of dirt hasn’t stuck to the dirt yet, it has stalled, but not stalled, and then only per.

There would be a bridge with a locked differential, there was a fairy tale, but I only have one drive belt and he does not care about frost, after replacing the engine I changed my own. Every land, there is clay and cut in layers.

Price
Minuses
Attaching the handle to the gearbox, I have the first option.
There is no differential with a lock.
Thin axles with fixation under the finger.

Not modified, the one who designed it, it did not work. Differential half shafts (half-differential) are needed for the possibility of a turn on the spot. Engine power when working with a plow or hiller boom at the limit (700 mm wheel)
pros
An excellent Amer engine made in Japan, very economical and easy to start. A good gearbox (there was a marriage — the output shaft was overheated and crumbled by pins — they were replaced under warranty, now it's normal. It gets into the trunk of a sedan if you throw out the spare wheel.
Minuses
Belts do not go for a long time, constant problems with the clutch, you can injure yourself in reverse, and most importantly, if you need to turn around with a hinged one, you damn everything, there’s no differential or at least differential axles !!!

Four years ago, I bought the Salute 100 walk-behind tractor with the Chinese Lifan engine. Since then there has not been a single complaint about the work of the power unit. The motor, although released in China, is a licensed version of the Japanese Honda with increased engine life. Factory products from the Chinese are now produced with proper quality.

Of the negative impressions, he threw out his native belts after 2 weeks of running-in. I thought it was just a marriage, but new ones of the same brand suffered the same fate. I went to the men in tractor parts and there they picked up suitable ones, but, of course, at a price of almost 2.5 times higher. However, they stood for more than a year. So the following bought the same. They gave practical advice at the station, you should immediately change your native belts to better ones, if this is not done, then the shoulder on the tension roller will grind. And then it’s very difficult to pull on even quality belts.
pros
indestructible gearbox, powerful motor, low consumption
Minuses
low-quality belts

Continues to delight after 5 years of work
A comment
I have been using motor blocks for over 10 years. During this time, I touched a lot of devices with my hands. But he remained faithful to his old salute and when it came time to buy a new one he gave preference to the same model, only updated. In principle, a lot has remained of the model 10 years ago. We slightly modified the design of the milling cutters, moved the control knobs to the steering wheel and made the clutch handle more comfortable and smooth. The range of engines has become richer, and the engines themselves are more powerful. I chose Levifan for financial reasons. The gearbox is still the same, completely on the gears, for a walk-behind tractor this is a key indicator. All attachments come from the old. I do all the potato work for them: planting, hilling, digging, using a mower and a rake, transporting small loads on it too.
pros
reliable, unpretentious, powerful, economical.
Minuses
not.

Motoblock Salute 100 is a good model, but not without flaws
A comment
I bought and tested the Salute 100 walk-behind tractor this season. Before that I had the Neva and the used Osh. I am sure that I found a worthy device at the level of leading domestic motor-blocks. It was purchased specifically for the development of the virgin land, on which it is impossible to drive full-fledged equipment and for further auxiliary work on trifles. The motoblock gradually turned into an indispensable assistant and now I just wonder how I could do without it before.
pros
High maneuverability, good stability in the absence of an additional reverse lever, low gasoline and oil consumption; engine starts easily, runs quietly, pulls hard
Minuses
For cultivation on the virgin lands it is necessary to apply remarkable strengths, however, this is true on almost all walk-behind tractors. They are limitedly designed to work from scratch. Front exhaust stand, of course a good thing, but very tight

Salute 100 - walk-behind tractor with excellent characteristics, but not perfect performance
A comment
I bought my first Salute 100 walk-behind tractor this year. I tried to raise the virgin lands. Everything is as in the run-in instructions: a belt on a small pulley, only half a gas, oil change after 5 hours of work, etc. In principle, I am satisfied with the work. After some experiments, I determined the optimal level of the opener, I have it on the penultimate hole. In order to qualitatively prepare the soil, it took 8 passes with a gradual deepening, but after that the earth is just downy. In parallel, the wife collected all the twisted rhizomes, so that the wheatgrass was almost over.
pros
excellent traction, reliable engine and easy start, even the wife was able to start, efficiency - depends on the intensity of the load, but mostly not much.
Minuses
small angle of lifting of the handles and generally limited individual adjustment; tight gear shifting.
Term of use
more than three years

Motoblock Salute 100 with Lifan engine - an excellent combination of price and quality
A comment
I bought a walk-behind tractor in February 2016, just before the start of the garden season. The main reasons for this choice were two. Firstly, an imported engine, although Lifan Chinese, but licked from a Japanese Honda, and secondly, the assembly was carried out at a defense plant near Moscow. I hoped for quality and did not lose in both cases.
pros
The biggest plus in the design is a fully gear reducer;

A control node with completely accessible handles right in front of you, you do not need to bend down and stretch anywhere;

Weight 78 kg and compactness of the device allows you to independently load the walk-behind tractor into the trunk of a car

Very large engine life and engine reliability;

Double belt + spare and metal pulleys made of high-quality metal;

The price is 1.5 times lower than that of imported analogues with the same technical indicators;
Minuses
not found;
Term of use
more than one year
