Halogen lamp - an unsolved miracle

He led on an advertisement and bought a halogen bulb for himself. To be more precise, then a tungsten-halogen, decorative lamp. Googled a little and found a cool online store that gives away its products almost for nothing. In general, for the lamp itself and delivery, I paid no more than $ 15. Parcel arrived quickly. And without thinking twice, I twisted it into my chandelier. The base in my lamp (Eurolamp, SG-CL / 42 / 220C) is normal, there were no problems. It’s good that I twisted it in the living room, for a bedroom such a lamp definitely will not work. Light is too bright, it affects vision poorly.
pros
bright color, reliability.
Minuses
can not be touched with bare hands, negatively affects vision.

more than one year

Halogen lamps are a thing of the past.

A halogen lamp is an anachronism. For me personally, after a not very big waste of money (I ordered from China) LED lamps, the attitude of the halogens has changed. Therefore, I will describe only negatively. Firstly, compared to a conventional incandescent lamp, this is just a small improvement that cannot be justified by an overvalued one. A typical lamp lives for about 1000 hours, and a halogen is 2-3 thousand. Moreover, it costs 3-4 times more. Can they save electricity? No, they use it almost the same way. And what is their super-careful replacement? With a napkin or gloves. And our eternal jump of voltage in the network, from which they burn like pretty?

I read that once a monopoly on incandescent lamps was created, and their service life was brought up to 1000 hours, although the first lamps created could shine for decades. So my opinion is the world mafia. Who benefits from producing an eternal light bulb? Now a breakthrough has passed - LEDs. If you want cold white, you want warm yellow, like an ordinary light bulb. Saving electricity by 3-5 times. Service life of 30000-50000 thousand hours !!! This is a coup.

I can be accused of advertising such lamps, but I'm really sure about the LEDs and I consider the halogen echoes of a bad past. I did not find anything positive in using them. How are they good? For one reason why buy them. If there is no money for LED, then it is better to buy a simple glow. It costs at least cheaper.

I noticed that such lamps are much stronger than conventional lamps. They can knock on the wall, while there will not even be a crack.

The light output of the lamps is very high, again, higher than that of a conventional lamp. Space under their light is not distorted, the light is even, there is no pressure on the eyes. It is very convenient in this light to write, read and work.

Now about the few shortcomings, without which it could not have done, unfortunately. In no case should you touch your hands with the inner bulbs of the lamp. When I changed the lamps in the chandelier, I was not aware of such a small nuance. Therefore, a couple of lamps burned out very quickly, and black prints remained in the place of my prints.

I did not go into details of why this happens, but now I have become more careful and tidy. I take a lamp only through a napkin or gloves. If the touch still occurred, you can wipe the lamp with a cleaner on the monitor and TV. It is sold in any salon of cellular communications, in hardware stores, etc. But even in spite of this, I advise you not to touch the lamps with your bare hands. Its service life is significantly reduced.
pros
Good light, high strength.
Minuses
Do not touch the lamp with your bare hands
